Recently there have been many physical and sexual assaults going on in the city I live, both during the day and night. Women are being warned and told that they should not walk alone. This is upsetting to me. I find it very disempowering, as a woman, to be told that I should be afraid to live in the city in which i live. I will not be afraid, nor should any other woman. If you live in fear and have to constantly look over your shoulder then you are not living at all. I will not choose to lead my life in this way.
